KISSACK - Joyce Elizabeth (nee Veale)
Joyce Elizabeth Kissack passed away at the Beverly Centre Glenmore on March 10, 2008. Joyce had a terrific childhood growing up in Winnipeg with her parents William and Ruby and her older brother Ernie. She spent many summers at her favourite place "Grand Beach" in Manitoba.
She met Arthur Clarke Kissack in 1946, and they were married a year later on January 11, 1947. Joyce and Art were blessed with four loving children.
Joyce was a true "Royal Banker"; she loved her various jobs and made many life-long friends. After retiring from the bank Joyce worked part-time at the Royal Canadian Legion No. 285. Joyce's passion, besides her children and grandchildren, was dancing, dancing and more dancing.
Joyce suffered a debilitating stroke four-and-a-half years ago, but took the rehabilitation head-on and managed to rebuild her life, never complaining. She was even able to dance again. Joyce needed to move to a full-care facility just a short five months ago, still eager to live, laugh and make new friends. Joyce will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure to know her.
Joyce is survived by her son Grant Arthur Kissack, daughter and son-in-law, Lorie Ann and Keith Gill, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Kissack. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kimberley Anne Kissack, Griffin Edward Kissack and Megan Elizabeth Gill; as well as her sister Carolyn Janzen of Winnipeg, MB.
Predeceased by her husband Arthur, her sons Bryan Clarke Kissack and Craig James Ross Kissack, her parents William and Ruby Veale, and brother Ernest Veale.
